From the family residence the funeral was held Saturday morning, and the remains were taken to the new cemetery and consigned to their last rest. Burial will follow in the La Grange City Cemetery. He served in the U. S. Navy during WW II in the South Pacific, New Caledonia, and New Guinea and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
